Darjeeling and Kalimpong Tour Overview

Darjeeling and Kalimpong Tour Itinerary

Day 1

IXB/ NJP/ Siliguri to Kalimpong

Upon arrival at IXB/NJP upon /Siliguri, transfer to Kalimpong (4,125 ft, 70 km, approx. 3 hours). Check-in at the hotel arrival. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

Day 2

Kalimpong City Tour

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day Kalimpong city tour (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) covering Deolo Hill, Science Centre, Hanuman Temple, Pine View Cactus Nursery, Golf Course, and Durpin Monastery. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

Day 3

Kalimpong to Darjeeling

Post breakfast (8:00 AM), drive to Darjeeling (6,800 ft, 70 km, approx. 3 hours). Check-in at the hotel upon arrival. Afternoon at leisure; optional evening visit to Mall Road. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 4

Darjeeling City Tour

Wake up early in the morning (3:30am) to witness the sunrise from Tiger Hill (2,590 meters/13 KM/45 min). On the way back, visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop. Proceed for a half day city tour around Darjeeling (09:00 am to 3:30)covering The Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda,P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed)and outer view of Tea Garden (Chitrey).

Day 5

Darjeeling to IXB/NJP/Siliguri

Proceed from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/NJP (Railway Station)/Siliguri (for onward journey (70 KM drive/3 Hours approx).
